Etisalat has been providing telecommunication services to the United Arab Emirates since 1976, and is one of the leading service providers in the Middle East region. Etisalat was the first operator to introduce mobile phones in the Middle East in 1982. Etisalat launched its GSM Service in September 1994 and has an impressive subscriber base of over 3 million.

Etisalat, as Transworld’s landing partner in the UAE, is responsible for providing operation & maintenance services to Transworld at the Fujairah Landing Station. Transworld also has peering and restoration agreements Etisalat on a preferred partner basis, thereby enabling Transworld to provide international connectivity from Pakistan to the rest of the world.

OmanTel is the incumbent telecom operator of Sultanate of Oman and provides global networks services (GNS), digital data network, GSM, and internet services to Oman’s population. Transworld has signed a Landing Party Agreement with OmanTel. OmanTel will be responsible for providing operation & maintenance services to Transworld at the Al-Seeb Landing Station.
