Transworld Associates is proud to announce its collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for provisioning of Tier-1 IP Transit Bandwidth for Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP). The technology park is an initiative by PITB for boosting Technology sector in Pakistan by creating state-of-the-art infrastructure in order to create job opportunities, foster local entrepreneurship, and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the country.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Transworld and PITB was held at the Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) in Lahore on April 28, 2012. The occasion was graced by dignitaries such as Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chairman Planning & Development (P&D), Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Provincial Secretaries, and CEOs of IT/Telecom companies. 

Dr. Umar Saif, Chairman PITB and Mr. Naveed Ahmed Malik, Vice President Transworld Associates (Pvt.) Ltd were signatories to the MoU. The MOU is yet another milestone for Transworld and first step in initiating a productive business relationship with Punjab government for many upcoming projects. This reflects Transworld’s firm commitment towards strengthening the communication backbone of Pakistan and contributing to the economic growth of the country.
